How to Protect Information: HIPAA Privacy and Security Training

Is your office up to date on HIPAA regulations? Do you have a process for reviewing security measures to ensure patient privacy? Join Heather Brownson, CHC, and Brandon Agostinelli, CISA, for this program on protecting privacy and brushing up on security best practices to be HIPAA compliant. The learning objectives include:

  • Attendees will be introduced to federal requirements that serve to protect a patient’s rights to privacy and security of their personal and health information.
  • Attendees will be introduced to procedures and practices that should be in place to protect patient information, including the role of the Privacy Officer and Security Officer.
  • Attendees will receive an overview of their role and the responsibilities in protecting the privacy of those who services are provided.
  • Attendees will receive guidance in general information security best practices and industry-specific security awareness tips and potential threats.
