Why I joined:
When we established our office in 2006, we had to hire an initial staff. MCMS was invaluable for guidance on Rochester-area compensation levels. Then we discovered the MCMS Listserv which has been consistently useful. Picking up on a Listserv thread on copiers ended up saving us enough on a new color copier to cover a year’s membership.
Why support MCMS?
Benjamin Franklin must have had 21st century U.S. healthcare in mind when he famously wrote “We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately.” The administrative, regulatory and financial challenges and complexities in today’s healthcare environment, requires an informed and helpful go-to source. MCMS is exactly that.
What do you think is the most valuable benefit or service offered by MCMS?
There isn’t one. There are many. When I or my staff have an HR or other practice management-related question our first call is to MCMS. More often than not it is the only call we need to make.
What has MCMS done for you?
MCMS has helped keep us in easy touch with the local medical community. More to the point, unlike many other professional organizations, MCMS has provided outstanding tailored guidance and advice.
