Why I joined:
I joined MCMS as soon as I moved
to the area after having been an active member in my county and state medical
societies elsewhere. It's a great way to start getting to know colleagues in a
new place.
Why support MCMS?
I support MCMS because of the value it has brought to myself and
my patients. I appreciate the advocacy that the organization does and that my
input is taken into account. It's also good to see that MCMS supports medical
students and residents so passionately. We need to be encouraging the next
generations to have an active role in advocating the profession and our
patients.
What do you think is the most valuable benefit or service offered by MCMS?
What I find to be the most valuable benefit is the already
established relationships that MCMS has with local organizations which can
truly affect change in our community.
What has MCMS done for you?
As the director of a Political Advocacy and Leadership Track for
family medicine resident physicians, MCMS has been helpful in creating
networking activities so that trainees can meet practicing physicians. MCMS has
also helped strengthen my voice in our community and the in the state medical
society.
