The Monroe County Medical Society is pleased to offer you and your organization the services of our Speakers' Bureau. The Medical Society recommends the following guidelines in arranging for a physician speaker:

I Plan Ahead
As you plan your event, please keep in mind that our physicians request the courtesy of at least four weeks’ lead time to prepare for a speaking engagement.

II Know the Facts
Before contacting a potential speaker, make sure you have all the pertinent information available, including:
Name of the organization and contact person
Topic you’d like the physician to address
Date, time and location of presentation
Estimated audience size and demographics (age, gender, current level of knowledge on topic)
Time allotted for speaker
Number of other speakers
Type of event (dinner meeting, luncheon, etc.)

III Don't Forget the Details
The program host and speaker should work together to make arrangements in advance for the following:
Audio-visual aids or equipment
Phone number where program host can be reached the day of the event, in case of emergency.
