James Szalados, MD, Esq.
Dr. Szalados practices anesthesiology and critical care medicine. He recieved his Medical Doctorate in 1986, Diplomate, American Board of Anesthesiology in 1992, Sub-specialty Certification in Critical Care Medicine in 1993, Master of Business and Master of Health Administration in 1998, and Juris Doctor 2005. He has medical licenses in New York, North Carolina, FLorida, and Pennsylvania.
Dr. Szalados has attained Fellowship status in the American College of Critical Care Medicine, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the American College of Legal Medicine. His Professional Society Memberships include: Monroe County Medical Society, Medical Society of the State of New York, New York State Society of Anesthesiologists; American Society of Anesthesiologists, New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Chest Physicians, New York State Bar Association, American Bar Association (Health Law section), American College of Legal Medicine. He is also admitted to the New York State Bar.
He has 20 years of clinical experience in medicine including surgery, anesthesiology, and critical care, and hospitalist medicine - in both academia and private practice. His past experience in health care leadership include Director, Critical Care Division and Critical Care Educational Program, Director of Clinical Services, Executive Vice-Chair, University Anesthesiology Department, Medical Director of Operating Rooms, Medical Director of Respiratory Care, Vice-President of Medical Affairs / Chief Medical Officer, Leadership positions in local, state and national medical societies. He has co-authored and edited two textbooks in the field of critical care medicine and has been the author of more than two dozen peer-reviewed manuscripts, and over a dozen chapters in medical and legal textbooks. He has presented more than one hundred presentations at regional, national, and international medical symposia. |
