Earthquake in Haiti - How You Can Help

The MCMS extends its sympathy to the people of Haiti and encourages all who would like to help to consider donating time, money, or supplies.  The Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad has updated information on relief efforts on their website. The American Medical Association has assembled a list of organizations that are accepting donations and provided a webinar to assist medical responders in preparing for Haitian earthquake relief efforts. CDC's Earthquake Webpage includes many other resources for responders, and is being updated frequently.  CDC has updated several fact sheets that provide information healthcare providers and responders can utilize before, during and after an earthquake.  Here are the most up-to-date versions of the following documents:

Download the Commissioner's Ruling exempt distribution to facilitate humanitarian relief efforts in response to the Haitian Natural Disaster of January 2010. The ruling will allow a pharmacy to distribute controlled substances to practitioners for the purpose of providing direct care to victims of the Haitian natural disaster.
